Moore County had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 4-5-1 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since April 18, 2025.
Lailar Logan made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Logan was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ellie Carter was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Jenny Sanders also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
As for Shelbyville Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11. They have struggled against Moore County recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
On Shelbyville Central's side, Alissa Robb was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Kenley Patton stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Ja'Mya Anderson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
Looking ahead, Shelbyville Central will face off against Lincoln County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Moore County will be paying especially close attention to the Golden Eagles' game: after the Golden Eagles face off against Coffee County Central, they'll take on Moore County again at 6:00 p.m. on April 6.
