Baseball Recap: Cedarville Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Cedarville's offense. They came up short against the Charleston Tigers on Tuesday, falling 16-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Pirates' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Cedarville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Cross, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Cross has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Cedarville's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Charleston, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Cedarville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Charleston, they will challenge West Fork at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
