Basketball Recap: Warsaw Piles Up the Points Against Penn

Warsaw hadn't done well against Penn recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Tigers claimed a resounding 58-23 win over the Kingsmen. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 23 points or more this season.

Warsaw's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joslyn Bricker, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. Bricker's evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Zartman, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Warsaw was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Penn only posted five.

Warsaw's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Penn, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Warsaw will be playing in front of their home fans against NorthWood at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Penn, they will head out on the road to take on South Bend Washington at 7:30 p.m. on December 5.
