Newton Kelan and Murphy Taylor provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Manhattan. The connection was good for 87 yards, the longest such play in Western Athletic this season.
Dodge City took down the Indians 38-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kelan threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns and ran for one yards in the win.
6-foot-5 quarterback Kelan of the Demons is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2474. He has also thrown 20 touchdowns. On the ground, Liberal's Britton Abbott has rushed for 909 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Trenton Hammond. The Liberal star has 64 catches for 1102 yards.
Dodge City led the league in scoring this week after putting up 38 points on Manhattan. Kelan in the win.
