Basketball Recap: Eastport-South Manor Comes Up Short

After soaring to 56 points the game before, Eastport-South Manor was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 38-17 to the Babylon Panthers. The Sharks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Babylon found their leader in sophomore Morgan Fiedler, who posted 17 points.

Eastport-South Manor dropped their record down to 2-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Babylon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Eastport-South Manor will square off against Amityville Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Babylon, they will take on Southold/Greenport at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Babylon's defense has only allowed 29.8 points per game this season, so Southold/Greenport's offense will have their work cut out for them.
