Basketball Recap: Camden Bulldogs vs. Lancaster Bruins

Camden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Lancaster Bruins 93-57. Despite the loss, Camden saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Will Haunert went 8 for 12 on his way to 22 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Haunert has scored all season. Derrick Loney was another key player, putting up eight points and seven boards.

Jordan Watford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lancaster, almost dropping a double-double on 21 points and nine assists. Watford's evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Columbus Parker, who went 6 of 9 en route to 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Camden's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Lancaster, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Richland Northeast the next time they take the court. Camden will head out to face Richland Northeast at 4:30 p.m. on January 25th, while Lancaster will host them at 7:45 p.m. on January 28th.
