Football Game Preview: Hialeah Gardens Gladiators vs. Goleman Gators

The Hialeah Gardens Gladiators will square off against the Goleman Gators at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hialeah Gardens will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Hialeah Gardens' defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 19-0 win over American.

Isabelle Castrillo had another great game (as she tends to do), throwing for 205 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 41 yards. Those 205 passing yards gave her a new career-high.

Hialeah Gardens didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Castrillo and Carolyn Lebroc. Castrillo is also on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as she's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, Goleman had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Flanagan by a score of 13-0 on Monday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering the Gators' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Falcons are ranked 387th).

Hialeah Gardens pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.0 points on average over those games. As for Goleman, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Hialeah Gardens came up short against Goleman in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 6-0. Can the Gladiators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
