Volleyball Recap: Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles vs. Jefferson Cavaliers

After flying high against Roosevelt on Tuesday, Aberdeen Central came back down to earth. The Golden Eagles fell 3-1 to the Jefferson Cavaliers on Thursday. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cavaliers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 19-25, 25-16, 25-19.

Lauryn Burckhard paced Aberdeen Central's offense, picking up 18 kills. Burckhard got some help from Alivia Miller and her 20 assists. Miller also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kyley Wirebaugh, each putting up three.

Aberdeen Central's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Jefferson, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season.
