Basketball Recap: Culpeper County Comes Up Short

Culpeper County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 69-55 to the Eastern View Cyclones. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Cyclones are ranked 55th).

Culpeper County's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Eastern View, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-1.

When Culpeper County and Eastern View next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Culpeper County will try to stop Caroline's six-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Eastern View will take on Courtland and their eight-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
