Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Laney). They claimed a resounding 78-18 win over the Glenn Hills Spartans. With that victory, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 50.8 points per game.

Laney's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raina Burns, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine steals. Burns has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shamerika Jacobs, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards.

Laney was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Laney's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Glenn Hills, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laney will head out to challenge Burke County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Laney is facing Burke County at the right time seeing as Burke County is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Glenn Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against Josey at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Josey will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Glenn Hills surely won't give up without a fight.
