After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Poteet, Cole was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Randolph Ro-Hawks, sneaking past 6-5. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Ro-Hawks: they've now won eight in a row.

Sophia Flores spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Cole let Zoe Foy and Heidi Ingram run wild. Foy went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one double, while Ingram went 1-for-3 with five stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Foy has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Analey Navarro, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Cole picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 5-15. As for Randolph, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12-1 record this season.

Cole has already played their next contest (against Non Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Randolph will be paying especially close attention to the Cougars' matchup: after the Cougars face off against Non Varsity Opponent, they'll take on Randolph again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
