Baseball Recap: South Allegheny Takes a Loss

South Allegheny managed to slip by Avonworth the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Gladiators came up short against the Antelopes on Monday, falling 12-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 22, 2022, but that streak is no more.

South Allegheny saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Nesky, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Nesky's first of the season.

South Allegheny's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Avonworth, they pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

While South Allegheny had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
