Softball Recap: North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays vs. Morgan Township Cherokees
After flying high against North White on Tuesday, North Judson-San Pierre came back down to earth. The Bluejays took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morgan Township Cherokees on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Bluejays in their meetings with the Cherokees: they've now lost nine in a row.
North Judson-San Pierre saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Virginia Chambers, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Olivia Timm also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
North Judson-San Pierre's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Morgan Township, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Judson-San Pierre will square off against Caston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morgan Township, they will face off against South Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cherokees 3, the Satellites 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
