Softball Recap: Selah Extends Road Winning Streak to 11

Selah extended their postseason success on Friday against Evergreen. They were the clear victors by a 22-3 margin over the Wolverines. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 18 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Aspin Grubenhoff made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Grubenhoff was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Taylee Gonzalez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Kyra Rudick, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Selah lost a few balls and finished the game with six home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Selah pushed their record up to 21-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Evergreen, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

As of now, neither Selah nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
