Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Hillcrest couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 9-1 to the Corsicana Tigers on Saturday. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 30-5. As for Corsicana, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

Hillcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Corsicana, they will challenge Lovejoy on Saturday. The Leopards' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
