Recap: North Putnam Cougars vs. Sullivan Golden Arrows
The North Putnam Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 62-51 to Sullivan. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Putnam in their matchups with Sullivan: they've now lost five in a row.
When it comes to explaining why North Putnam lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rose Haste. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Duvall, who scored 9 points.
North Putnam has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Sullivan, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
North Putnam will be playing in front of their home fans against Parke Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Parke Heritage presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Putnam in Indiana (Parke Heritage is ranked 118th, while North Putnam is ranked 314th). As for Sullivan, they will head out on the road to face off against Brown County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
