Baseball Recap: Woodbridge Triumphs

The Woodbridge Raiders got the win against the Geneseo Blue Devils on Tuesday by a conclusive 16-3. Considering the Raiders' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Ryan Scott was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Anthony, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Woodbridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Geneseo only posted an OBP of .423.

Woodbridge's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Geneseo, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Woodbridge will welcome Sussex Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Geneseo, they will head out to take on Salisbury Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
