Softball Game Preview: Pioneer Mustangs vs. Silver Creek Raiders

The Pioneer Mustangs will square off against the Silver Creek Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Pioneer is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Piedmont Hills on Friday. They lost 9-1 to the Pirates. The Mustangs have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Pioneer saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Krump, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Silver Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Prospect, falling 17-2.

Pioneer's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Silver Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
