Softball Recap: Starpoint Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Starpoint waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Sweet Home Panthers by a score of 12-9. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-4 back in April.

Morgan Neal was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Natalie Prezioso was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Starpoint lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Starpoint's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Sweet Home, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

As of now, neither Starpoint nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
