Basketball Recap: McLean Gets the Win

Wakefield came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against McLean, but Jake Bell wouldn't allow it. The McLean Highlanders strolled past the Wakefield Warriors with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 53-36 thanks in part to Bell, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

McLean now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Wakefield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

McLean has already played their next game (against Yorktown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wakefield will square off against Washington-Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Wakefield is facing Washington-Liberty at the right time seeing as Washington-Liberty is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
