Volleyball Recap: Fellowship Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

Fellowship Baptist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bridgeport Baptist Academy Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

Fellowship Baptist Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 27-29, 25-18, 25-8, 25-15.

Abigail Thompson paced Fellowship Baptist Academy's offense, picking up two kills. Thompson got some help from Addi McAlvey and her seven assists. Thompson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Autumn James, each putting up five.

Fellowship Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14-1. As for Bridgeport Baptist Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Fellowship Baptist Academy nor Bridgeport Baptist Academy have any future games scheduled.
