Volleyball Recap: Coral Academy of Science - Reno Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Falcons on Wednesday. Coral Academy of Science - Reno lost 3-0 to Sierra Lutheran. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Sierra Lutheran this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-14.

Coral Academy of Science - Reno's offense was headlined by Madyson McLaurin and Alexandra Medina, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Lexi Johnson and her seven assists. Finally, McLaurin was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Coral Academy of Science - Reno's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Sierra Lutheran, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Coral Academy of Science - Reno will challenge rival Oasis Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sierra Lutheran is set to take on their familiar foe Yerington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
