Football Game Preview: West Stokes Wildcats vs. Surry Central Golden Eagles + How To Watch

The West Stokes Wildcats will face off against the Surry Central Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Stokes will be strutting in after a win while Surry Central will be coming in after a loss.

West Stokes is coming into the matchup on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured an 18-12 W against North Surry.

Meanwhile, Surry Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Mount Airy, falling 62-10. The Golden Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

West Stokes' win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Surry Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

West Stokes lost to Surry Central on the road by a decisive 22-8 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2021. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
