Basketball Recap: Faith Training Christian Academy Takes a Loss

If Faith Training Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 66-27 takedown of Midstate Homeschool two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Faith Training Christian Academy came up short against Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool on Tuesday, falling 61-37. Faith Training Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-12.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool to victory, but perhaps none more so than Miles King, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 18 points and six rebounds. The contest was King's third in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Tristan Thomas, who posted ten points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Faith Training Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Training Christian Academy will welcome Open Door Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Christian Academy of Louisiana at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
