Basketball Recap: Riverdale's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

Riverdale entered their game against Kewanee on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Riverdale Rams fell to the Kewanee Boilermakers 51-47. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rams came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Boilermakers are ranked 401st).

Riverdale's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3. As for Kewanee, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.

Riverdale will be taking part in a tournament against Fulton at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Kewanee, they will take on Morrison in a tournament on Friday.
