Crownpoint is 9-1 against Wingate since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Crownpoint has four straight wins, Wingate has 16 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Crownpoint will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Thoreau, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Hawks on their court since November 4, 2021.

While Crownpoint might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Thoreau scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Wingate lost 3-0 to Thoreau on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.

Wingate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Crownpoint, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.

Everything went Crownpoint's way against Wingate in their previous matchup back in September, as Crownpoint made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
