Softball Recap: Pine Island Comes Up Short

Pine Island's last matchup with Byron could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Tuesday. The Panthers came up short against the Bears, falling 11-0. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost four in a row.

Pine Island's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Byron, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Island will head out to square off against Chatfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Byron, they will venture away from home to take on Winona at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
