Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Sequatchie County

If Sale Creek wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Sequatchie County, they should've done a better job of containing Beckham McKendrick. The Sequatchie County Indians came out on top against the Sale Creek Panthers by a score of 65-52 on Monday thanks in part to McKendrick, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Wyatt Davis was another key player, going 5 for 8 en route to 11 points. Those 11 points gave him a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Sequatchie County and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Sale Creek, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Sequatchie County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-62 defeat against South Pittsburg on the 14th. Sale Creek has also already played their next match (against Lookout Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
