Volleyball Game Preview: Loyalton Grizzlies vs. Elk Creek Elks + How To Watch

The Loyalton Grizzlies will face off against the Elk Creek Elks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Loyalton has four straight victories, Elk Creek has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Loyalton was able to grind out a solid win over Plumas Charter, taking the game 3-1.

While Loyalton might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Plumas Charter scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 22-25, 25-18, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Elk Creek came up short against Princeton on Wednesday and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-21, 25-27, 25-11.

Elk Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Loyalton, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Everything went Loyalton's way against Elk Creek in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Loyalton made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Grizzlies repeat their success, or do the Elks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
