Soccer Game Preview: Ayden - Grifton vs. Farmville Central

Ayden - Grifton is 0-9-1 against Farmville Central since September of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Chargers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Ayden - Grifton's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Tarboro 1-0.

Meanwhile, Farmville Central lost 5-1 to Greene Central on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Farmville Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 412th, while Greene Central are ranked 172nd).

Farmville Central's goal came courtesy of Jared Ayala, who's now up to seven this season.

Ayden - Grifton's win bumped their record up to 5-10-1. As for Farmville Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3-2.
