The Arete Prep CHARGERS will venture away from home to square off against the Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Gilbert Classical Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Arete Prep, who comes in off a win.

Arete Prep took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 39-19 margin over San Tan Charter.

Meanwhile, Gilbert Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Pima and fell 61-13.

Arete Prep's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-10. As for Gilbert Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Arete Prep was taken down by Gilbert Classical Academy 47-11 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Gilbert Classical Academy's Maria Cristobal, who went 13 for 26 en route to 30 points and five rebounds.
