Baseball Game Preview: Yucca Valley Trojans vs. Desert Mirage RAMS

The Yucca Valley Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Desert Mirage RAMS at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Things were looking good for Yucca Valley after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Banning, falling 19-3. The Trojans have struggled against the Broncos recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Sebastian Navarrete was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Desert Mirage won against Borrego Springs on Tuesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. Desert Mirage beat Desert Hot Springs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the RAMS.

Edilverto Biarco was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that he scored this season. Another player making a difference was Angel Cruz, who scored two runs and stole Three bases.

Desert Mirage now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Yucca Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Yucca Valley took their win against Desert Mirage when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. Will Yucca Valley repeat their success, or does Desert Mirage have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
