Luke McCullough posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over 5.1 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because West Shamokin is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise.

McCullough's effort led West Shamokin over Penns Manor and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Comets are limping into the matchup having lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season.
