Northwestern Lehigh and Notre Dame-Green Pond are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Tigers will challenge the Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Northwestern Lehigh against North Schuylkill as the team secured a 49-21 victory. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Notre Dame-Green Pond walked away with it. They blew past the Blue Raiders, posting a 59-16 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Crusaders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Blue Raiders are ranked 277th).

Notre Dame-Green Pond's win came from a few key players Northwestern Lehigh will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jonathan Striba, who rushed for 93 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 68 receiving yards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Matt Bodnar was another key player, throwing for 279 yards and two TDs while completing 75% of his passes.

Notre Dame-Green Pond was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 218 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 160 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.

Notre Dame-Green Pond's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Northwestern Lehigh, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 12-0.

Everything went Northwestern Lehigh's way against Notre Dame-Green Pond in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as Northwestern Lehigh made off with a 43-21 win. In that game, the Tigers amassed a halftime lead of 29-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
