Basketball Recap: Aucilla Christian Picks Up Third Straight Win at Home

Aucilla Christian had won two straight home games and Ethan Bass did his part to make it three on Friday. The Aucilla Christian Warriors walked away with a 51-44 victory over the Cornerstone Academy Cougars thanks in part to Bass, who went 8 of 17 on his way to 26 points and six assists. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Aucilla Christian's points.

Aucilla Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Cornerstone Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Aucilla Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Liberty County at 7:00 p.m. Liberty County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Aucilla Christian likes a good challenge. As for Cornerstone Academy, they will head out to challenge Ocala Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
