Volleyball Preview: Grant Tigers vs. Tri County Area Vikings
Grant is 9-1 against Tri County Area since October of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Grant Tigers are on the road again to play the Tri County Area Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Wednesday, Grant came up short against Kent City and fell 2-0. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
While Grant had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21.
Jocee Pleune put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 13 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last seven games she's played.
Meanwhile, Tri County Area was not able to break out of their rough patch last Saturday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Alma.
Grant's loss dropped their record down to 19-25-1. As for Tri County Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-22.
Everything went Grant's way against Tri County Area when the teams last played back in September, as Grant made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grant since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
