Basketball Recap: Archbishop Carroll Gets the Win

The Archbishop Carroll Patriots earned a 75-62 victory over the Coolidge Colts on Friday.

When it comes to explaining why Coolidge lost, don't look at Kevin Jackson Jr.. Despite the final result, he shot 55% from the field to rack up 32 points and three steals. The game was Jackson Jr.'s third in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Turner, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

The win got Archbishop Carroll back to even at 1-1. As for Coolidge, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Coming up, Archbishop Carroll will square off against Malvern Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Coolidge, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-60 loss against St. Frances Academy on the 6th.
