Football Game Preview: Fitch vs. Harding

Harding will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Fitch at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close match.

Harding couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to Amity Regional by a decisive 8-26 margin. Harding's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Kevin Bednarz, who passed for 150 yards and 1 touchdown.

Meanwhile, Fitch had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. Fitch didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 0-6 to Hamden last week.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
