Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Stewarts Creek

Stewarts Creek entered their tilt with Cookeville on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Cavaliers by a score of 5-2. This was a revenge game for the Red Hawks: when they faced off against the Cavaliers last Tuesday, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.

Ayden Jackson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shawn Rhodes, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Stewarts Creek's record now sits at 21-15. As for Cookeville, their loss ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 19-8.

Stewarts Creek wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-1 victory against Wilson Central on the 4th. As for Cookeville, they have also already played their next contest, a 14-4 win against LaVergne on the 2nd.
