After having lost a blowout in their previous game against San Antonio HomeSchool, Sonora was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Miles Bulldogs 16-1. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Liliana Gallegos, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayvin Gonzales, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Sonora always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The victory snapped Sonora's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-8 record. As for Miles, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16-1 record this season.
