Hardin County couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 46-35 to the Memphis Business Academy Execs on Friday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Execs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

Defeat or not, Hardin County got some senior leadership from Jacob Saunders and Brodie Ivey. Saunders rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, while Ivey. rushed for 87 yards and three touchdowns.

Hardin County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Gabe Eliff and Hunter Adams.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hardin County will venture away from home to face off against Giles County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
