Softball Recap: Eldorado Sundevils vs. Mojave Rattlers
Eldorado extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-11. They lost 18-0 to the Mojave Rattlers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rattlers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-1 back in February.
As for Mojave, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. That 18-run margin sets a new team best for them this season.
For Mojave's part, Emiko Kalani made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kalani has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Aria Gaurano was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Arizona Lene, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
