Softball Recap: Desert Hot Springs Comes Up Short

Desert Hot Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 11-6 to the Banning Broncos. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-7 defeat last Monday.

Desert Hot Springs' loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Banning, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Hot Springs will host Perris at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Banning, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cathedral City at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.88 runs per game on average), something the Broncos will no doubt try to take advantage of.
