Baseball Recap: Manchester Memorial Takes a Loss

Manchester Memorial had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 4-5 to make it seven. They fell just short of the Spaulding Red Raiders by a score of 3-2. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their loss to the Red Raiders from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Spaulding, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games.

For Spaulding's part, their victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Colby Lambert, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave Lambert a new career-high.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Manchester Memorial is set to challenge their familiar foe Winnacunnet at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Spaulding will face off against rival Pinkerton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
