Soccer Game Preview: Pensacola Catholic vs. South Walton

The Pensacola Catholic Crusaders will challenge the South Walton Seahawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

South Walton better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Pensacola Catholic really get things going. Pensacola Catholic never let Walton onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Wednesday. The result kept the Crusaders happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 6th.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, South Walton rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 7-0 win. The Seahawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by three goals or more this season.

The victory (which was South Walton's third in a row) raised their record to 13-3-5. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Pensacola Catholic, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 8-7-2.
