Basketball Recap: York Comes Up Short

York was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the South Pointe Stallions 83-40. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-13.

York's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Rampey, who posted 11 points. Those 11 points gave Rampey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zan Walling, who had two points.

Ry'Darius Hill was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 27 points and ten rebounds for South Pointe. RJ Pickering Jr was another key player, putting up eight points and ten assists.

York's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for South Pointe, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lancaster the next time they take the court. York will host Lancaster at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while South Pointe will head out to face them at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
