Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Wolfe City

While Wolfe City didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Commerce Tigers by a score of 8-3 on Thursday. The Wolves' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Casen Pessel was a standout: he scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stole at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Noah Adams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Wolfe City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Wolfe City's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Commerce, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Wolfe City and Commerce will both be playing Alba-Golden the next time they take the field. Commerce will host Alba-Golden at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Wolfe City will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
