Recap: Coronado Cougars vs. Canon City Tigers
The Coronado Cougars lost to the Canon City Tigers back in February of 2023, but the Coronado Cougars didn't allow the Canon City Tigers the same satisfaction on Monday. Coronado came out on top against Canon City by a score of 59-52.
Seth Enoch was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 25 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Realiti Smith was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists and two steals.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brehner Jackson, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 18 points and 5 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Sawyer, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Coronado's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10. As for Canon City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Coronado will head out on the road to challenge Palmer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmer has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 399 points over their last six games. As for Canon City, they will be playing at home against Mesa Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mesa Ridge will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
