Softball Game Preview: Choctawhatchee Indians vs. Gulf Breeze Dolphins

After both having extra time off, the Choctawhatchee Indians and the Gulf Breeze Dolphins will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Choctawhatchee has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Choctawhatchee's offense. They lost 14-0 to Fort Walton Beach last Saturday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Gulf Breeze came up short against Jay last Friday and fell 5-2.

Gulf Breeze saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sally Alberson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Ashlynn Stemcosky also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Gulf Breeze's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Choctawhatchee, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
