Meanwhile, Guy-Perkins fell victim to Wonderview and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Daredevils, falling 13-0. The Thunderbirds have struggled against the Daredevils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

The victory got Mt. Vernon-Enola back to even at 8-8. As for Guy-Perkins, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Mt. Vernon-Enola was able to grind out a solid win over Guy-Perkins when the teams last played back in April of 2019, winning 8-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warhawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
